Pleasant thought of the day
In praying and then looking again at the above text from the beatitudes. And the one from James. I am reminded of Hebrews 2:17 which says "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." And Hebrews 7:26 "For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;""
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;" Hebrews 8:1
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Oh BOY believer!! We're BLESSED!
We have a Mediator. An Advocate.
A Great High Priest interceding for us.
We who are not deserving yet made His.
My hope my prayer is that He would increase
and I would ever decrease -- that He would
receive glory and I the joy of magnifying Him.
Be blessed friend -- and find ways to be merciful.
-- Blessed are the merciful:
for they shall obtain mercy.
Not so pleasant thought --
he shall have judgment without mercy,
that hath shewed no mercy; and
mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
Thankful that mercy rejoiceth against judgement!!
